Smoked da PSU playing ARMA II

Hey guys i will be dying with u guys in ARMA 2 soon. Smoked my 1000w powersupply playing ARMA2 in ur server the other night. Lot of fun in vent as usual and cant wait to get back in the saddle. Ordered 1600 watt Ultra x3 PSU.

Did you run your rig specs through a good PSU calculator? Getting an overpowered PSU not only means paying more money than you need to, but also that the PSU will work inefficiently... unless you're running triple SLI, in which case you might want to hook up a nuclear power plant to your house while you're at it.

Here's a popular online calculator, possibly the only updated one left online and also linked to by a lot of commercial sites...

Nice link...I know bout the power bill...as you can see i am pushing (with 3rd GPU) 1KW ceiling. These, as with many power equations are estimates (i use 10% Rule). I can limit (using alternate 15 amp plug) my power to 1200W as that is max URL rating for common household outlets. Also whats up with your Arma 2 server? It says creating map or something?
